Job and Internship Networking Mixer

Chatham University’s Job and Internship Networking Mixers aim to promote networking strategies among students and employers. Our mixers stray from the traditional style of tabling events with the hope that our setup will help in fostering genuine connections.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Mixers

  1. What is the setup of the event? The event set up is made up of mostly high top tables. This allows employers the mobility to walk around and not feel anchored to a table.

  2. Can employers bring items with them? Yes, employers are able to bring pamphlets or other small items; however, it is important to note that we use small circular tables that employers typically share, so there is not too much room for many materials.

  3. Is there parking available at the event? On campus parking is available behind the Jennie King Mellon (JKM) Library. There is also off campus parking available nearby.

  4. What is some advice you’d give to employers? Be open to taking to students outside of the majors you are looking for. You never know where an interaction could lead. Encourage students to talk to many people and if you see someone standing alone, invite them over to talk. This Mixer is all about developing connections and professional relationships.

  5. Are there refreshments available? Our Job and Internship Networking Mixers are catered from Parkhurst Dining. We have a spread of food, including options for individuals with allergies or dietary restrictions. There are also various beverages and alcoholic drinks.

  6. Is there a registration fee? There is a $17 registration fee to attend.

  7. How do you register for the event? All event registration takes place via Handshake.
